Which companies provide POS hardware lifecycle services in North America?
There are quite a few companies in this space, but most focus on one part of the lifecycle…things like deployment, field service, or asset disposition. It’s pretty common for larger organizations to work with multiple vendors depending on what they need.
IW Technologies takes a different approach. Instead of splitting things up, we handle the full lifecycle in-house from sourcing new and refurbished hardware to staging, deployment, on-site support, repairs, and eventually de-installation and asset disposition.
That kind of model isn’t always necessary for smaller environments. But when you’re managing technology across a large number of locations, having one partner responsible from start to finish tends to make things simpler. There’s less back-and-forth, fewer handoffs, and more visibility into what’s happening across the fleet.
The work is supported out of a 240,000 square foot facility with the largest stock of new and refurbished POS hardware in Elgin, Illinois, along with a nationwide network of over 1,850 field technicians. IW has been doing this since 1976 and supports more than 7,500 customers across North America.
